Deep Blue Essential Oil:
For Joint and Muscle Pain

Deep Blue essential oil is one of my FAVORITE blends of oil for chronic pain and inflammation.

This blend of oils was specifically created to relive joint and muscle pain with oils that have been studied for the pain-relieving anti-inflammatory affect. But nothing speaks louder than personal experience.

I developed rapidly progressing scoliosis at age 10, which resulted in major spinal surgery at age 14. My long-term chronic problems that stem from this dysfunction have included: torn meniscus in both my knees (causing aching and pain on a near daily basis), Degenerative Disc Disease in my cervical spine (causing pain, numbness and more in my neck and arms), born spurs narrowing the pathways of nerves (causing tingling and numbness), degeneration of the disc, sciatic pain, tendinitis and mild carpal tunnel symptoms, muscle pain from compensation and more.

Since my early 20's I've dealt with this pain the best way the doctor's could recommend: rest, low activity and pain medication as needed. In fact, my prognosis after a CT scan was that there was nothing the doctor could do, except prepare me for a future of pain medication and increased loss of function. Being a small frame, taking even a single ibuprofen would wreck havoc on my system. Looking at a future of pain meds was bleak and depressing.

Although I was able to find an alternative practitioner to help me bring function and mobility back into my life and decrease much of my pain through a practice called Egoscue, I was still dealing with random bouts of pain, aching, numbness and more without anything I could do.

For about three weeks before trying Deep Blue essential oil, I had been going through a bout of pain I couldn't seem to relieve. My knees had been constantly aching during the day with occasional sharp pains. At night they were painful and stiff, making it difficult to both fall asleep and stay asleep. I would wake up in the morning with a dull ache and start all over again. Three weeks! Nothing was working.

As soon as I heard of the Deep Blue essential oil, my first thought was whether it would help me at all, being that I have some chronic and severe pain. But I decided to test it out on my knees that night. I mixed 2-3 drops of Deep Blue with a small amount of coconut oil and massaged it into my knees. I didn't experience any immediate effects, so I went to sleep - and stayed asleep! My knee pain didn't wake me up in the night and my stiffness was decreased by morning.

I used the Deep blue blend just FIVE times and decreased my knee pain from 97% of the time, down to 3 PERCENT! From that point I've only had to use it about 2 times a month on my knees (if that) and have also begun to use it for my sciatic pain, low back pain and neck pain with the same results.

Deep Blue essential oil has become my all-natural pain reliever that I can use after hikes, before bed, with headaches that are the result of my spine, muscular tension, and after long hours working at a computer. Based on my own experiences, I CANNOT recommend this oil enough!

IMPORTANT NOTE ON QUALITY

The information provided here on the properties and uses of this oil do NOT apply to all essential oil brands.

Because of lenient industry standards and a lack of regulation on terms such as "natural" or "pure", much of what you find at the drug store is not a therapeutic grade of essential oil and may actually make you sick. In fact, only about 50% of it needs to be actual essential oils to be called "pure"!

A LOT goes into creating a therapeutic grade essential oil. The best essential oil brands follow these guidelines:

  • Proper plant varieties
  • Grown in their indigenous region around the world
  • Grown without chemical pesticides, herbicides, etc
  • Harvested with precise timing to ensure peak properties
  • Extracted with proper temp and pressure to preserve oil molecules
  • Third-party testing of each and every batch
  • Stand behind the internal use of their oils
